I’m a blogger who loves coffee, I wanted to create a new blog, so I started coffee blog. The story ends there really ;-).
My name is Kev, I’m in my late 30’s, I live in South Manchester with my wife and two kids, and I’ve always loved coffee. Since being a kid as far as I can remember I’ve always been a coffee drinker; over the years I’ve come to appreciate coffee more, and I’ve become more and more interested in it. I’ve discovered that there is a lot more to coffee than most of us realize; in fact I’m almost ashamed at how little I have known about coffee most of my life, given it’s something I really like.
Until fairly recently I didn’t have a clue what a coffee cherry looked like, I thought espresso coffee was just a strong small shot of coffee and I had no idea that there was actually a completely different process involved in making espresso than other coffee making processes. I had no clue that altitude made a difference to the taste of coffee, and I had no idea of the poverty level in most of the areas that our luxury drink is grown, and the huge importance of coffee to these regions. I didn’t realise that there was any difference in taste between the various coffee making processes, and I had no idea just how many processes there are.
As I’ve been on my coffee voyage of discovery, I’ve also discovered that there are many other people like me who love coffee but need their coffee horizons broadening a bit as mine have been, and that’s what I want to do with this blog.
I blog about coffee, coffee machines, independent coffee shops – anything coffee related.
